That ovarian is called the "silent killer"...

A sense of humor goes a long way...

Just noticed a slight bump on the right side of my tummy one morning…

I’ve had one surgery. Can’t imagine there would be much need to do another… they removed just about everything including my appendix (smile).

Paclitaxel (Taxol)/Carboplatin (Paraplatin)combination. 6 treatments. 21 days apart.

Kendra's Life JourneyViews: 1020

Hmm…I have thought of you all, and of posting, soooooooo many times and just haven’t done it…until now…

Well, better late than never, I suppose… here goes, it’s been 2 1/2 months now…

I finished the 6th round of chemo on November 28, 2007… around Thanksgiving. I couldn’t think of a better time to be done…truly, so much to be grateful and thankful for!

My doctors are encouraged regarding my prognosis due to the early diagnosis…I choose to see myself as a “survivor”.

Even though it sounds a little corny…I’ve been saying to my friends & family, lately,...2008…it’s gonna be great! (They’ve tolerated it quite well so far…ha ha :) And that’s the attitude I am entering each day with…and yet, this has been, bar none, the hardest “season” of my life…as you all know…

Here’s a short video clip that documents some of my journey these last 7 months…I was asked if I would share some of my story…

grace & peace,

Kendra

Great video Kendra!

Hi Kendra,
Your video so inspired me! I have been trying to put into words everything you have said! I have had CC for 4 1/2 years now and been on many treatments and have had 3 surgeries, but like you I stay positive, my friends help me so much and my family is so suppotive and are always here for me-no matter what! Like you without all of them I have no clue where I would have been through all of this. I thank God for all that he has sent me, as you say skin Gods…what a perfect way to explain all the ones that have helped us get through these rough periods of our life. I am in Michigan also, maybe I know your family? Email me if you’d like at: suew1234@gmail.com. Bless you. You are in my prayers. Sue
